Here is an article by Walter Williams about how “un-fragile” our planet really is by using examples. The one that caught my eye is three recent volcano eruptions that spewed more carbon dioxide and sulfur dioxide that all of mankind’s activities in all history.

Note to self: Find out how much Carbon Dioxide is emitted by animal life respiration and how much Carbon Dioxide is consumed by plant life per year. There is a closed loop mechanism to control the amount of Carbon Dioxide in our atmosphere and surface water: the more Carbon Dioxide in the atmosphere and/or water, the more plant life that converts it to food and oxygen. Is this not quantified and understood by the scientific establishment?
